(4/12) -- In recent years, cheerleading has begun to define itselffrom a stereotypical bunch of girls jumping around and yelling on the sidelines during a basketball game to a more athletic and competitive activity.The MMC cheerleaders have long been very good sideline cheerleaders; however, this year's squad was pushed to evolve into a more challenging sport.
ROME, Ga. (3/18) - On February 12, the Martin Methodist College cheerleaders traveled to Shorter University to compete in the first-ever NAIA Cheerleading Invitational Competition. This inaugural competition marks a huge step in the NAIA push to establish cheerleading as a true varsity sport.
