LEBANON, Tenn. (5/2) - Martin's Methodist's Maria Charrys was named the TranSouth Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week after helping Martin Methodist win the NAIA Qualifying Tournament in Chattanooga, Tenn., posting victories in all six of her matches, including three at No. 1 doubles and three at No. 3 singles. Charrys was the only RedHawks player to post victories in singles and doubles in all three of MMC's team victories in the tournament.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn (4/30) -- Despite dropping the deciding doubles match in a tiebreaker, 18th-ranked Martin Methodist won four singles matches in straight sets, defeating Milligan College, 5-3, in the Women's NAIA Tennis Qualifying Tournament here Saturday afternoon. With the victory the RedHawks earn an automatic berth into the NAIA National Tournament set for May 17-21 in Mobile, Ala.

LEBANON, Tenn. (4/28) - Martin Methodist's Paloma Cortina was named the TranSouth Conference Player of the Year and MMC head coach Melinda Sevier was voted the Coach of the Year in a vote of league coaches announced Thursday. The RedHawks, along with Cumberland University and Bethel University, begin action in the NAIA Qualifying Tournament on Friday in Chattanooga, Tenn.

LEBANON, Tenn. (4/20) - Martin Methodist moved up two spots to 18th in the 2011 NAIA Women's Tennis Coaches' Top 25 Poll released Tuesday, the next-to-last poll of the season. The RedHawks (11-5) have won five straight matches and 8-of-9 since March 25.

PULASKI, Tenn. (4/11) - MMC women's tennis improved their 9-5 record this week with a 2-1 posting across three weekly matches. After dropping a 1-8 match to University of North Alabama on Wednesday, the RedHawks bounced back with a pair of wins, 6-3 over University of West Alabama and 6-3 over Georgetown College.
