3 RedHawks Selected to 2008 Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-Region Team

Starkville, Miss. (6/10) – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced the Louisville Slugger/NFCA NAIA All-America, All-Region and Regional Coaching Staff of the Year award winners. Sakiko Tamashiro, Brooke Kelley, and Hollie Sanders were selected to the All-Region Team for the East Division. (more)

MMC Beats Union; All-Region Team Announced

Henderson, Tenn. (5/7) – After Union University eliminated the Martin Methodist RedHawks from the 2008 TranSouth Tournament, MMC came back with a big win in their first game of the 2008 NAIA Region XI Tournament to send Union to the losers bracket with a 7-3 win. (more)

Henderson, Tenn. (5/7) - The No. 2 seeded RedHawks will be playing the winner of the Union (Tenn.)/University of Campbellsville game today at Freed-Hardeman University at 5:00 in the 2008 NAIA Region XI Tournament. Union Beats MMC in Extra Innings
Jackson, Tenn. (5/2) - It took an extra inning but the Bulldogs eliminated the RedHawks from the 2008 TranSouth Confrence Tournament by the score of 4-3. Martin Methodist will now wait and see if they get a bid to the Region XI Tournament that will be held next week at Freed-Hardeman University. More details will be posted as they become available.

RedHawks Beat Bethel to Stay Alive
Jackson, Tenn. (5/2) - It took six innings but the RedHawks finally managed to push a run across the plate for a 1-0 win to eliminated Bethel College from the 2008 TranSouth Tournament and stay alive to play another game. Nikki Osborne had the game winning RBI driving in Brooke Kelley who got aboard on a walk. The RedHawks will now face Union University at 3:00 today. Freed Sends MMC to Loser’s Bracket

Jackson, Tenn. (5/1) – Freed-Hardeman University beats MMC 2-1 tonight and sends the RedHawks to the loser’s bracket of the 2008 TranSouth Conference Tournament. The RedHawks will play Bethel College in a win or go home game tomorrow at 11:00am at Fesmire Field on the campus of Union University in Jackson, Tenn. Jackson, Tenn. (4/30) – The RedHawks softball team advances in the winner’s bracket in the 2008 TranSouth Athletic Conference Tournament with a 4-0 win over Crichton College. 2008 All-Conference Teams Announced

Jackson, Tenn. (4/30) – Martin Methodist College Softball Team had six players make the 2008 TranSouth All-Conference Team. Four RedHawks were selected First Team All-Conference and two were selected Second Team All-Conference. (more)

RedHawks Finish Regular Season Second in TSAC
Jackson, Tenn. (4/30) - The RedHawks finish the regular season 40-11 overall, 29-7 and 2nd place in the TranSouth Athletic Conference. They will be playing in the 2008 TranSouth Confernce Tournament which starts today in Jackson, Tenn. on the campus of Union University. RedHawks Sweep Eagles on Senior Day
Pulaski, Tenn. (4/19) – Three seniors were honored today as the RedHawks softball team swept the Lambuth University Eagles. The RedHawks have won their last eight in a row. They won both games by a score of 10-2 and both games were cut to six innings because of the run rule. (more)

(4/14) - Sakiko Tamashiro of Martin Methodist College (Tenn.) has been selected the TranSouth Player of the Week and Brittiany Johnson of Trevecca Nazarene University (Tenn.) has been selected the TranSouth Pitcher of the Week. RedHawks Go 5-and-3 Last Week in Conference Games

Pulaski, Tenn. (4/14) – The RedHawks softball team had a busy week last week playing eight TranSouth Conference game in six days. They swept Crichton College and Cumberland University while they split with Freed-Hardeman University. Trevecca Nazarene University got the better of the RedHawks taking two in make-up games last Thursday. (more)

Lebanon, Tenn. (3/26) – The RedHawks softball team swept the Cumberland University Bulldogs yesterday in a TranSouth double-header. With the wins Martin Methodist moves to 10-0 in conference play. (more)

Pulaski, Tenn. – Brooke Kelley of Martin Methodist College (Tenn.) and Brittiany Johnson of Trevecca Nazarene University (Tenn.) have been selected as the TranSouth Conference Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week for the week ending Sunday, March 16. (more)

Kelley’s Hot Bat Led RedHawks in Weekend Tourney

Pulaski, Tenn. (2/25) – Junior Brooke Kelley had a homerun in every game the RedHawks played this past weekend in the MMC Spring Tournament. The RedHawks were 4-1 on the weekend’s games. (more)

(2/20) – After bad weather cancelled the first games of the 2008 softball season, the RedHawks are off to a 4-0 start with two wins over Covenant College and Judson College. (more)

RedHawks Ranked No. 24 in Poll Released
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (1/30) - Martin Methodist College is ranked No. 24 in the 2008 NAIA Softball Pre-Season Poll released today. The defending NAIA Champion, Oklahoma City University gets the top spot receiving 12 of the 13 first place votes. (more)
