Martin Methodist College (2004):  A starting junior third baseman for Coach Paul…hit .342 with an on-base percentage of .462, slugging percentage of .513, also hit 11 doubles, 5 home runs, had 33 walks, scored 40 runs, and was second on the team with 45 RBI’s.

Bevill State - Sumiton CC:
  started every game at 3rd or short stop for Coach Kristy Langham…had a .378 batting avg. and was an All-State selection as a freshman…her sophomore year the season was cut short due to team injury’s.

Cleveland High School:  4 year starter for Coach Conny Lowery at 3rd and short stop…selected as the team MVP all four years and as an All-Area Player…was also a four year starter for the basketball player where she was the team MVP as both a junior and senior.

Personal:  Full name is Ashley Kaye Altman…born September 25, 1982 in Ringgold, GA…Daughter of Lisa and Mark Altman…Majoring in Physical Education…enjoys playing with “Boogie” (her dog), hanging out with family and friends, coaching softball in the summer and watching Court TV…favorite movie is Disney’s Pete’s Dragon …favorite teams are the RedHawks and the Atlanta Braves…favorite place is SeaWorld.

  “Ashley is the type of hitter that you want up in a crucial situation.  She always seems to come up with the big hit.  On defense, Ashley is a leader by example.  I expect this to be a great year for her.”
