Martin Methodist Concludes Another Great Season
DECATUR, Ala. (12/4) – It was almost as if it were déjà vu as Martin Methodist College squared off against Lee University Wednesday night in the Quarterfinals of the 2009 Women’s Soccer National Championship. These two teams meet last year in the quarterfinals and a last year’s game ended with Lee advancing and this year unfortunately had the same result. (more)
RedHawks Advance to Quarterfinals
DECATUR, Ala. (12/1) - Martin Methodist College Women's Soccer Team cruised past Northwood University tonight 3-0 and will advance to the Quarterfinals of the 2009 NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship. The RedHawks will take on state rival Lee University at 7:00 at the Jack Allen Recreation Complex in Decatur, Alabama. (more)
Teams Square off Tonight
(12/1) – Martin Methodist College is one of only two schools in the NAIA to send both their men’s and women’s soccer teams to the 2009 NAIA Soccer National Championship. (11/21) – Martin Methodist College beat Asbury College in the 2009 NAIA Women’s Soccer National Championship Opening Round today and punched their ticket to Championship Final Site in Decatur, Alabama. MMC Win 6th Consecutive Tournament Title
PULASKI, Tenn. (11/14) – Martin Methodist College keeps the winning tradition alive winning the RedHawks sixth consecutive TranSouth Tournament Title. The RedHawks defeated the Bethel University Wildcats 5-1 yesterday on the East Campus Soccer Field. (more) RedHawks Take Top Honors
(11/12) – Martin Methodist College took top honors as the 2009 TranSouth All-Conference Teams were announced. Shannon Walter was selected the 2009 Player of the Year, Yalo Borbolla was tabbed 2009 Freshman of the Year and Head Coach Gerry Cleary was named the 2009 Coach of the Year. PULASKI, Tenn. (10/29) – Rain has been the story this month when it comes to soccer and once again the rain changed plans for Martin Methodist College Women’s Soccer. Senior Day originally scheduled for Tuesday October 27th was pushed to yesterday. The sloppy field didn’t stop the RedHawks or seniors as the handed the Covenant College Scots a 6-0 loss. PULASKI, Tenn. (10/22) – Martin Methodist College Women’s Soccer has set a precedence in the TranSouth Athletic Conference. The RedHawks clinched their 6th consecutive TranSouth Regular Season Title tonight with an 11-0 win over Cumberland University. BATESVILLE, Ark. (10/4) – The Martin Methodist College Women’s Soccer team made the long trek to Arkansas this weekend to take on conference opponent Lyon College. PULASKI, Tenn. (8/29) – The NAIA No. 5 Martin Methodist College RedHawks shut down the visiting Notre Dame College Falcons in the RedHawks first match of the 2009 season. KANSAS CITY, Mo. (8/19) – The RedHawk Women’s Soccer Team was ranked No. 5 in the NAIA Preseason Women’s Soccer Poll released yesterday evening.
