Martin Methodist College:  Maria Sonnerborg returns for her second season with the RedHawks to compete for a starting role in the midfield.

2005: Last season Sonnerborg was fifth on the team in scoring (10 goals), second in assists (14) and thrid in points (34). She started in 17 of her 24 games played as a freshman. She scored a game-high two goals against both Brewton-Parker College and Union University, and also added a game-high two assists against Union. At the conclusion of the season, she was named a member of the TranSouth All-Conference Team.

High School: Preped at Malmo Borgarskola under the direction of coach Lena Videkull in Malmo, Sweden. While there, she was voted Most Athletic.
