Martin Methodist College:
  Sykes returns to the RedHawks for her fourth and final season as a starting center midfielder. 

2006:  Last season, Clare started 22 of the RedHawks 23 matches.  She scored six goals and had 3 assists.  She had a hat trick against Crichton College on September 16th.  In the career record books at MMC Clare is 1st in shots on goal with 198, 3rd in matches played with 65, and 5th in assists with 26. 

2005: Sykes was the most decorated player in the NAIA, earning the NAIA/Brine and NSCAA/adidas NAIA Women's Soccer Player of the Year Award. She was also selected to the First Team All-America, First Team All-Region XI and First Team All-TranSouth Athletic Conference. She was named the TranSouth Co-Player of the Year and the NAIA Region XI Player of the Year. She started in 23 of her 25 matches played, scoring 10 goals and collecting 11 assists. Her largest points game of the season was scoring two goals and two assists against Union University.

 2004: As a freshman she started and apperared in 17 matches, scoring six goals and 12 assists. She was responsible for four goals against Lyon College, scoring one and picking up three assists. She had two assists against Georgetown College and Freed-Hardeman University. She was also an All-TranSouth Confernce selection in the midfield.

High School: Attended All Saints Roman Catholic High School in Huddersfiled, England. While her school did not have a soccer team, she did compete with the East Durham team, where she was named Player of the Year in 2003-04, She was also named the National Women's Football Academy Football Player of the Year in 2003-04, and has trained with the Irish National Team.


Personal:  Full name is Clare Elizabeth Sykes…her birthday is December 14th…Daughter of Jon and Miriam Sykes…she has a twin sister and two brothers...Major is Business Management… she enjoys reading Harry Potter, surfting, weight lifting and just hanging around friends and family...Her favorite moves are Artic Monkeys, Baby Shambles, and Top Gun and her favorite team is Huddersfield Town F. C. Nicknames: Sykes and Nora (given to her by Coach Cleary)
