2007 Team Awards Given Out
Pulaski, Tenn. (3/25) – The Martin Methodist College Men’s Soccer team gave out team awards yesterday for the Most Valuable Player, Best Offensive Player and Best Defensive Player, and Best Mid-Fielder from the 2007 season. The awards are voted on by the team. (more)

Alan O'Connor Was Selected to Region XI Team
(11/26) - Senior forward Alan O'Connor was selected to the NAIA All-Region XI team.  O'Connor lead the team this season with 14 goals and six assists.  The Dublin, Ireland native was selected NAIA National Player of the Week, Region Player of the Week, and TranSouth Player of the Week for the week ending September 2, 2007.  He was also selected TranSouth Athletic Conference Player of the Year for 2007.
 
RedHawks Fall in Region XI First Round Match
Williamsburg, Ky. (11/5) – The RedHawks played the University of the Cumberlands Patriots in a Region XI Tournament first round match on Saturday.  The Patriots won 3-2 with just four minutes left in overtime. (more)

Alan O’Connor TSAC Player of the Year
Jackson, Tenn. (11/1) - Martin Methodist College’s Alan O’Connor was selected the TranSouth Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Year. This award is voted on by all of the men’s soccer coaches in the TranSouth. (more)

TranSouth All Conference Teams Announced
Jackson, Tenn. (11/1) – The TranSouth Athletic Conference announced the All-Conference Teams. Barry McGahon and Alan O’Connor were selected to the First Team and Hunter Jamison, Simone Enrici, and Stephen Hogan were all selected to the Second Team. MMC Falls to Mid-Continent in TSAC Finals
Jackson, Tenn. (10/31) - The Martin Methodist College RedHawks lost a heartbreaker in overtime against the Mid-Continent University Cougars in the TSAC Tournament Finals yesterday afternoon. (more)

Men's Soccer: RedHawks Upset Lambuth in Semi-Finals
Jackson, Tenn. (10/29) - The RedHawks Men's Soccer Team upset Lambuth University 3-0 in the TranSouth Athletic Conference Tournament Semi-Finals.  They will now play the defending Conference Champions – Mid Continent University tomorrow at 3:00 PM for the Tournament Championship.  The match is being played in Jackson, TN on the campus of Lambuth University.


RedHawks Beat Union 5-4 in Double Overtime In TSAC Round 1
JACKSON, Tenn. – The Martin Methodist College RedHawks defeated the Union University Bulldogs 5-4 in double-overtime in the first round of the 2007 TranSouth Conference Tournament. Union (#4 seed) ended their season with an 8-9-1 overall record. Martin Methodist (#5 seed) improved to 10-4-1 and will advance to play in the semifinals of the conference tournament. Men's Soccer:  TranSouth Play in Game
The Men's Soccer TranSouth play in game is scheduled for Friday October 26th at 7:00.  The game will be played in Jackson, TN at Union University.


RedHawks Get Big Win over Bulldogs
Jackson, TN (10/17) – In the RedHawks final regular season TranSouth Conference match they beat the Union University Bulldogs 4-1. With the win Martin Methodist moves to 9-4-1 overall and 6-3 in the TSAC. (more)

NASHVILLE, Tenn (10/16) – The TranSouth Athletic Conference and NAIA Region XI have released their weekly men’s soccer honors for the week ending Sunday, October 14, 2007.

RedHawks and Bucs Tie 1-1
Memphis, TN (10/15) – The RedHawks drew their first tie of the season last Friday against NCAA Division II Christian Brothers University. Senior forward Alan O’Connor scored first in the 72nd minute when he took a pass from Christopher McBride and fired a shot into the top right part of the goal. Then with just over three minutes left in regulation CBU’s Ryan Peel scored on a free kick to tie the game at 1-1. (more)

RedHawks Win on Senior Night
Pulaski, TN (10/10) – Five seniors were honored last night as the RedHawks beat the Bulldogs from Cumberland University 3-0. Barry McGahon (Ireland), Alan O’Connor (Ireland), Stephen Hogan (Ireland), Patrick Ashe (Ireland), and Adam Hay (England) were the five seniors honored. All five of these young men have played at Martin Methodist College for four years. RedHawks Win Conference Triller
Pulaski, TN (10-3) - Just when it looked like the match was going to go into overtime notched up at zero, Alan O'Connor dribbled through the Trojans defense and sent a cross to Stephen Hogan who put the ball in the back of the net at the 87th minute mark.  The RedHawks would hold on to the 1-0 lead for the last three minutes to take the TranSouth Conference victory over Trevecca Nazarene University.

Men’s and Women’s Soccer Defeat Lyon College
Batesville, AR – Over the weekend the Martin Methodist College Men’s and Women’s Soccer teams took the long trek to Batesville, AR to face the Lyon College Scots and Pipers in TranSouth Conference matches. The men’s team won 3-0 and the women’s team won 4-0. (more)

RedHawks Split This Weeks Matches
(9/21) – The Martin Methodist Men’s Soccer team was on the road this week with matches against Freed-Hardeman University and NCAA Division II University of Alabama-Huntsville. The RedHawks beat up on the Freed-Hardeman Lions Tuesday taking the match 10-0, but lost on Thursday to UAH 2-1. (more)

RedHawks Drop Tough TSAC Match

Pulaski, TN (9/15) – Martin Methodist College dropped a tough TranSouth Athletic Conference match to Mid-Continent University for their first loss of the season. The RedHawks move to 4-1 overall and 1-1 in the TSAC.(more)
McGahon Selected TSAC Player of the Week
NASHVILLE, Tenn (9/10) –The TranSouth Athletic Conference has released its men’s soccer honors for the weekending Sunday, September 10, 2007. Josh Hanna of Union University is this week’s offensive player of the week. Barry McGahon of Martin Methodist is the defensive player of the week. (more)
RedHawks Defeat Blazers 2-0

The RedHawks Men’s Soccer team has jumped out to a 4-0 start to the season beating the Belhaven College Blazers 2-0 in Jackson, MS this past Saturday. (more)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (9/5) - The NAIA Men's Soccer national weekly honors were handed out for the first time in 2007 and Adam Kramer of California Baptist was announced as National Defensive Player of the Weekwhile Alan O'Connor of Martin Methodist (Tenn.) was named National Offensive Player of the Week, for the week ending on Sunday, Sept. 2. MMC Blanks Crichton College
Pulaski, TN – (8/29) The RedHawks hosted the Crichton College Comets in their first TranSouth Conference match of the 2007 season. Martin Methodist blanked the Comets 6-0. Alan O’Connor scored two goals to help the RedHawks improve to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in the TranSouth Athletic Conference. RedHawks Open Up The 2007 Season with a Win

Florence, AL - (8/25)  The Martin Methodist College RedHawks opened up their 2007 season with a win against Brewton-Parker College, Saturday in Florence, AL.  The RedHawks took the match 5-0.  Senior Alan O'Connor lead the way for the RedHawks scoring four goals.  Shayne Rollins scored MMC's other goal.  The RedHawks will be back in action Wednesday, Aug. 29th when they host Crichton College on the East Campus with kick off at 5.
6th Annual Men's Soccer Alumni Game
Pulaski, Tenn. (8/10) - The Martin Methodist College Men's Soccer team will hold the 6th Annual Alumni Soccer Game, Saturday August 18th with the alumni playing the 07-08 MMC squad at 2:00, and then there will be a scrimage with Dixon County High School at 4:00.  There will be food and drinks provided, so bring your lawn chairs and enjoy some fun out at the soccer field.
