Character Trait for the Month of December: OPPORTUNITY
When Opportunity Knocks . . . . . Be Ready!
I’m often asked what is the best advice that I give young people. One of my favorite pieces of advice is related to “opportunity”. My advice is three-fold: First, most often opportunities will only “knock” once on your door, occasionally you will get a second chance at a great opportunity, but not often. Second, sometimes you will have to gently “force open” the door as an opportunity arrives, proactive searches for opportunities reap big rewards. Third, and most importantly, you must be “ready” before you open the door of opportunity, for if you wait to prepare after the opportunity presents itself, you will have missed out.
