Mike Ransom Assistant Coach Bowling
Mike Ransom begins his first season with the RedHawks bowling program as an assistant coach. Ransom currently manages the RedHawks' home facility Ebonite's Galaxy Lanes in Columbia, Tenn., where he helps conduct practice twice a week. Mike is currently a USBC Silver Level coach and USBC Level One Instructor.
His coaching experience began in 1978 on an indivudal basis, and he began coaching youth bowlers in the Young American Bowling Alliance Leagues in 1979. He has conducted learn-to-bowl classes since 1983. In 1995 he achieved his Bronze Level certification with the USA Bowling Program and obtained the Silver Level in June 2005.
He also serves as a coach for the Columbia Central High School bowling team. His career at Columbia Central began in 1995, when he led the team to a Tennessee State Championship in 1995 and 1997. He returned to the program in 2002 and led the girls' team to a State Championship in the 2003-2004 season. The 2004-05 girls finished third in the state, while the boys finished second in 2004-05.
