Megan Hall

Megan Hall is beginning her first season as an assistant coach at Martin Methodist College.  Hall is a 2000 graduate of Walters State Community College in Morristown, Tennessee and a 2003 graduate of Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, Tennessee.  Coach Hall’s role will be significant as she helps to turn Martin Methodist College women’s basketball program into a championship contender.  She will be in charge of implementing the strength and conditioning program, scouting, coaching the post position, and team academics.

Hall joins the Lady RedHawk coaching staff after spending one year as an assistant coach at Division II Carson-Newman College under Head Coach Dean Walsh where she assisted in all areas of coaching.  Some of her responsibilities included coaching the post position, organizing practices, scouting opponents, recruiting, and team academics.  Coach Hall has also served as head coach of the Lakeway Starzz AAU team in East Tennessee.  She has served on the instructional staffs of numerous summer basketball camps, including the University of Tennessee, Walters State Community College, Carson-Newman College, and Morristown West.

“I am truly excited to have such a fine, young assistant coach as Megan Hall,” said Head Coach Nikki Sullivan.  “She has the work ethic and the enthusiasm that makes her a tremendous asset to our program.  Megan is a huge reason this program is beginning to move in the right direction.  Her basketball knowledge and ability to recruit fine athletes will help her go far in this business.”

Hall began her collegiate playing career at Walters State Community College where she helped lead her team to the National Junior College Tournament during the 1998-1999 season.  She was selected to play in the Tennessee JUCO All-Star game in the 1999-2000 season.  After graduating from WSCC, Hall then transferred to the University of West Alabama where she helped lead the team to a 3rd place finish in the GSC tournament in the 2000-2001 season.  Due to a change in coaches, Hall transferred to Carson-Newman College where she graduated in 2002.  At Morristown West High School, Hall was a standout athlete lettering in five different sports.  She was an All-State selection in basketball, as well as, All-Conference and All-Region.

Hall graduated from Carson-Newman College with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a Minor in Sociology.
