Women's Soccer
John Andrews, a native of Cork, Ireland, begins his first season as the assistant coach of the Martin Methodist College women's soccer program. He takes over the position as he completes his undergraduate degree, after competing two years as a starter on the men's soccer team.
As a player, Andrews started and played in 13 matches in 2005 as a sophomore defender, scoring two goals. As a freshman he earned a selection to the TranSouth All-Conference Team and tallied four goals and an assist for the RedHawks.
He has acquired his "D" Level coaching license in the U.S. and Ireland. He has also gained coaching experience as a volunteer for local camps, club teams and the Alabama Olympic Development Program.
