Women’s Bowling: ITC Sectional Re-Cap

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (2/20-2/21) - The Martin Methodist bowling program made the trip to Indianapolis, Indiana. They bowled in the 41st annual Hoosier Classic at Western Bowl Lanes. Beavercreek, Ohio (11/14-11/15) -- After a slow start to this year’s Men’s and Women’s Bowling seasons Martin Methodist starts to hit their best stride. The bowling team headed to Beavercreek, Ohio this past weekend for the Wright State Raider Classic at the Beaver-VU Bowling Center. (more) RedHawks Compete in First Tournament
INDIANAPOLIS, In. (10/15) – This past weekend the Martin Methodist College Bowling team competed in their first bowling match of the 2008-2009 season. They competed in the Brickyard Classic held at the Jubilee Bowling Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Women’s team came away with a 2nd place finish, while the Men’s team finished 10th. (more)
Women’s Bowling: Ladies Compete at Nationals
The ladies traveled to Wichita, Kansas on April 16th to compete for Martin Methodist’s Women’s Bowling program’s first national championship. In only their second season, the RedHawks qualified by being one of the top 16 women’s bowling teams in the country. (more) On March 13th, the RedHawks took a long trip to Las Vegas, Nevada. Both Men’s and Women’s teams were surprised this year when, the trip for the ITC sectional qualifier usually routes them to Chattanooga, sent them to Las Vegas. This was the second time this season for some to the players to make the trip out to Las Vegas. (more) Hayley Beavis is Nations Top Bowler
(2/15) - Currently in Women’s College Bowling, Martin Methodist College’s Hayley Beavis is the Nations top Bowler with a 204.561 average in 57 games. Hayley has played in eight bowling tournaments so far this season and has placed in the top 15 in all but one. She took home top honors placing first in the Honike Bearcat Open in Cincinnati, Ohio in January. (more) It Was a Week of Ups and Downs for the RedHawks in Louisville
Louisville, Ky. (11/17-11/18) - Nick Parker anchored an up and down performance, that ended on the upside this week in Louisville. The Redhawks had a rough start, sitting in 14th place after the first 2 games of qualifying. “ They just weren’t seeing the lanes correctly” said coach Titus. Lexington, KY (1/20-1/21) – The women’s RedHawk bowling team finished 6th of of 11 team in the Eagle Classic. The RedHawks had all five girls in the top 40 on the individual side. Cincinattini, Ohio (1/13-1/14) – The RedHawks finish 5th out of 17 at the Bearcat Open. Hayley Beavis led the team averaging 216.56 for 9 games and that was good for a 4th place finish individually. This was Hayley’s 4th straight all tournament team appearance. more
