RedHawks Finish Season on High Note
Henderson, Tenn. (3/6) - The Martin Methodist College Women’s Basketball Team finished the 2007-2008 season on a high note last night. They suffered a 71-86 loss to the No. 7 Freed-Hardeman Lions but they played one of their best games all season and have played very well through the last games of the season. (more)

RedHawks Advance to 2nd Round in TSAC Tournament
Pulaski, Tenn. (3/3) – It’s conference tournament time for the RedHawks and they cruised through their first round game against Blue Mountain College 94-69 tonight in the Curry Christian Life Center. The RedHawks will have a tougher battle Wednesday night as they are on the road against Freed-Hardeman in a second round game. RedHawks Fall to No. 13 Lambuth
Pulaski, Tenn. (2/28) The RedHawks fell to the No. 13 Eagles 71-78 tonight in their last regular season game. Tonight was senior night and four RedHawk seniors were honored. Diane Frost, Raina Sutton, Amellia Toole, and Nina Robinson are all seniors this year on MMC’s team. All four were junior college transfers that joined the RedHawks program last season. (more)

RedHawks Win Close Game at Cumberland
(2/25) – Martin Methodist traveled to Lebanon, Tenn. this past weekend to play Cumberland University in their second to last regular season game of the 2008 season. The RedHawks pulled out the win in the last seconds of the game 75-74. (more)

Trojans Outlast RedHawks in Double OT
NASHVILLE, Tenn.  (2/22) – Martin Methodist (14-14, 7-9) was on the road at NAIA No. 19 Trevecca (15-9, 9-5) last night. The game went to double-overtime before Trevecca pulled ahead for the 101-89 victory. (more)

Basketball: RedHawks Split with the Bulldogs
Pulaski, Tenn. (2/18) – The RedHawks hosted Union University this past weekend in a TranSouth doubleheader. The Women’s team fell short of the No. 1 Bulldogs 69-93. While the Men’s team was the winner in the night cap beating the Bulldogs 90-75 for their eight straight win. (more)

Basketball: Men Win, Women Fall in OT
Pulaski, Tenn. (2/2) – It was Homecoming 2008 today on the campus of Martin Methodist College. Alumni, family and friends of MMC joined in the Curry Christian Life Center for today’s annual homecoming festivities and to enjoy some TranSouth Conference basketball action. (more) 

RedHawks Upset No. 16 Trojans
Pulaski, Tenn. (1/24) – The Martin Methodist College Women’s Basketball Team hosted the No. 16 ranked Trevecca Nazarene University tonight at the Curry  Christian Life Center. After a loosing two in a row to top 25 teams the RedHawks were able to bounce back with a close 71-70 win over the Trojans.(more)

, Tenn. (1/12) – After a tough loss to Bethel College Thursday night the RedHawks women’s basketball team got their momentum back today with a convincing 91-69 win over the Blue Mountain College Toppers. (more)

Men's and Women's Basketball 2-0 in TSAC Play
(1/8) - The Martin Methodist College Men's and Women's Basketball Teams are off to a 2-0 start in the TranSouth Athletic Conference.  The teams have defeated Lyon College and Mid-Continent University.  The RedHawks will be at home this Thursday, January 10th to host their first conference games against Bethel College from McKenzie, Tenn.  The women tip off at 6:00 in the CLC followed by the men at 8:00.


MMC Tops Brescia
Pulaski, Tenn. (12/19) – The MMC Women’s Basketball team played Brescia University in their final non-conference game of the 2007-2008 season last night. The RedHawks topped the Bearcats 55-48. They will go into the holiday break with a 7-5 record. (more)

RedHawks Win Close One
Pulaski, Tenn. (11/27) – In a game that came down to the buzzer the RedHawks pulled out a 61-59 win against the University of West Alabama a NCAA Division II team who competes in the tough Gulf South Conference.

RedHawks Start off Season 1-1
Pulaski, Tenn. (11/8) – After a tough road loss to start off the season, the Martin Methodist College Women’s Basketball team had their first home game of the season tonight at the Curry Christian Life Center. The RedHawks hosted the Ambassadors from Oakwood College (Ala.). The RedHawks let their presence be felt as they took it to their guest winning 88-33. Women’s Basketball: MMC Announces Hiring of New Head Coach
Pulaski, TN – (5/29) Martin Methodist College announces the hiring of Coach Dee Bell as new women’s basketball coach. Bell is a graduate of Maryville College where he was an All-Conference, four-year starter for the Scots. When his playing career concluded in 1997 he had scored more than 1,200 points and led his team to four consecutive 20-win seasons. (more)
