Martin Methodist College: As a senior, Shawra’s athleticism and natural leadership abilities will help make her a tremendous offensive and defensive spark. With her quickness and ability to penetrate Shawra is able to take anyone off the dribble to the basket. In her junior campaign, she started in 10 of 33 games, averaging 18.2 minutes per game. She was also second on the team in steals while averaging 5.4 points per game. Shawra was awarded the team’s Defensive Player Award for the 2004-2005 season.
Wallace State Community College: Helped guide Wallace State to a 22-4 overall record and a 13-1 finish in the Alabama Community College Conference while garnering All-Tournament in the conference championship game. Graduated with an AA degree in Behavioral Science.
Deshler High School: Garnered All-County, All-Area, All-Region, and All-State honors. Finished senior year as State Runners-up ending the season with a 34-2 record. Led team averaging 16 points per game while also draining 42 3-pointers for the season. She still holds the records for most 3-pointers in a game with 7, and most assists in a game with 13. Finished career with 1354 points, 397 rebounds, 309 steals, and 375 assists. Her team suffered only 14 losses her entire career and tallied 120 total wins.
