Martin Methodist College: Lora Beard returns to the RedHawks women's basketball program for her first season of competition after serving as a redshirt last year.
High School: Beard, a graduate of Cornersville High School, played three seasons for Head Coach Micah Landers. She was an All-District selection in the spring of 2004 and 2005, and was named the team's Offensive Player of the Year in '03-'04 and '05-'06. She was also an All-District softball player in 2006 and won two state championships. Lora also had perfect attendance K-12.
Personal: Full name is Lora Marie Beard…born on January 7th in Columbia, Tenn....Daughter of Tim and Connie Beard…Majoring in physical education…Hobbies and interests include playing basketball, spending time with friends and family, going to the lake and riding her jet ski...in her spare time she volunteers at Leg Up Therapeutic Riding Center where kids of all ages with disabilities go to ride horses for therapy.
