New Men's Basketball Assistant Coach for the RedHawks
Head coach Andy Sharpe and the Martin Methodist College men’s basketball team recently hired David Anderson as its assistant coach.  Anderson, a 2004 alum of Nashville Christian School, also starred for the RedHawks from 2005-2008.  (more)


Men’s Basketball: Season Concludes in Quarters
HENDERSON, Tenn. (3/4) – Martin Methodist played tough basketball tonight in the Quarter-Finals of the 2010 TranSouth Conference Tournament but came up just short in the end falling to the Freed-Hardeman Lions 81-83. (more)

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (3/3) – Martin Methodist College Basketball players Aubre Bodison and Will Shackleford were selected to the 2010 TranSouth All-Conference First Team. (more)

Trojans Take Final Regular Season Home Game
PULASKI, Tenn. (2/28) – Conference rival Trevecca Nazarene University came to town yesterday in the RedHawks final regular season home game. The Trojans came out on top in the end winning 92-79. (more)

Bulldogs Squeeze Past MMC
PULASKI, Tenn. (2/22) – Missed opportunities left the RedHawks on the losing end of the stick as the Cumberland University Bulldogs beat Martin Methodist 101-99 in overtime Saturday. (more)

Weekly Re-Cap
(2/19) – The RedHawks split a pair of week day road games this week, losing to Freed-Hardeman 51-77 but bouncing back last night against Blue Mountain for a 96-77 win. Martin Methodist is current 18-9 overall and 6-7 in the TranSouth Athletic Conference. (more)

MMC Tops Lyon for Homecoming
PULASKI, Tenn. (2/14) – The RedHawks picked up their second TranSouth Conference win this week as they hosted Lyon College yesterday for 2010 Martin Methodist Homecoming. With all the festivities going one the RedHawks put on a good show for the crowd with an impressive 83-65 win over the Scots. (more)

2nd Half Comeback Lifts RedHawks
PULASKI, Tenn. (2/12) – Martin Methodist was on their home hardwood last night to take on Mid-Continent University in a TranSouth match-up. After two league losses the RedHawks came back from a first half defect to beat the Cougars 90-81. (more)

MMC Drops 2 on the Road
(2/9) – The RedHawks hit the road for two tough games in three days. Martin Methodist played Union University L (65-74) on Saturday and then had to turn around and play Trevecca Nazarene L (79-83) last night in a game that was originally scheduled for January 30th. (more)

RedHawks Fly Past Bulldogs
LEBANON, Tenn. (1/24) – In an up and down week the Martin Methodist College Men’s Basketball team finished the three game week on a high note beating Cumberland University on the road 84-71 for a 2-1 week. (more)

Bulldogs Take 1st TSAC Game from RedHawks
PULASKI, Tenn. (1/10) – The RedHawks were back to action yesterday after over three weeks without a game. Martin Methodist had a restful break to let some injuries heal and also had a new face on the court as they hosted Union University in their first TranSouth Athletic Conference game of the 2009-2010 season. RedHawks Get to Christmas Break with 11-2 Mark despite Adversity
PULASKI, Tenn. (12/22) - The 1st half of the 09-10 season has been marked with “character-revealing” adversity according to MMC Men’s Basketball Coach Andy Sharpe. Because if you listen to Coach Sharpe during practice or in the locker room, adversity doesn’t build character, it reveals character. MMC Closes Out 2009 with Win
ATHENS, Tenn. (12/19) – Martin Methodist travelled to East Tennessee last night to take on Tennessee Wesleyan College in Athens, Tennessee. The RedHawks beat the Bulldogs 87-80 in the final game of 2009 for Martin Methodist. (more)

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (12/15) - The TranSouth Athletic Conference has selected Martin Methodist College's Will Shackleford as the Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, December 13, 2009. (more)

RedHawks Take 2 of 3
PULASKI, Tenn. (12/7) – Martin Methodist College Men’s Basketball has won their last two out of three games. The RedHawks played in the Georgetown College Classic over the weekend beating Edward Waters College before falling to NAIA No. 23 Life University. Tonight MMC hosted Tennessee Wesleyan College coasting to a 77-56 win and improving to 10-2. (more)

PULASKI, Tenn. (11/24) – The Martin Methodist Men’s Basketball team hosted Oakwood University last night in a non-conference match up at the Curry Christian Life Center. The RedHawks put on a show for the home crowd as they took it to Oakwood 94-78. (more)

MMC Plays Tough in Faulkner Tourney
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (11/16) – Martin Methodist Men’s Basketball team travelled to Montgomery, Alabama this past weekend for the Jimmy Faulkner Classic hosted by Faulkner University. The RedHawks played two double-overtime games, topping the host team Friday 96-92 before falling Saturday to NAIA No. 20 Auburn-Montgomery 73-65. (more)

PULASKI, Tenn. (11/2) – Four RedHawks scored in the double-digits tonight as Martin Methodist cruised to their third victory of the season with a 97-56 win over Fisk University. (more)

RedHawks Start Out 09-10 With 2 Wins
PULASKI, Tenn. (11/2) – The 2009-2010 Martin Methodist College Men’s Basketball team started out the season on a high note. The RedHawks are receiving votes in the NAIA Poll, picked 3rd in the TranSouth and have gotten the job done on the court in their first two games. (more)
