Martin Methodist College: Kendaris Pelton joins the RedHawks for his senior season to compete for time as a small forward.
Southern Mississippi University: Pelton played in seven non-conference games to start the 2005-06 season for the Golden Eagles before leaving the team. He collected 20 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assists through an average of 26.7 minutes per game.
Chipola Junior College: Pelton played for Coach Greg Heiar at Chipola, where he led the team to a 33-4 record and a fourth-place finish in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) National Tournament. He averaged 12 points, five rebounds, three assists, and 1.5 steals per game as a sophomore and led the team to the Florida Community College Athletic Association (FCCAA) state title and the NJCAA Region VIII Championship. An FCCAA All-Tournament selection, All-Panhandle Conference First-Team Honoree and All-State selection, he shot 83 percent from the free throw line and was a 46 percent shooter from the field. As a freshman, his team finished sixth in the national tournament and had a 32-5 record. He averaged nine points, six rebounds, three assists and one steal per game that season, while committing only nine turnovers in 22 games.
Central Park Christian School: During his senior season at Central Park in Birmingham, Ala., he led the team to a National Association of Christian Athletes (NACA) National Championship, averaging 21 points, nine rebounds, eight assists, three steals and two blocks that season. He was named the team's MVP and participated in the 2002 Alabama High School Activities Association All-Star game. He was also a First Team All-State selection and a Nike All-American.
