Martin Methodist College: Jacob McKissack returns for his second season this season of competition with the RedHawks after transferring from the University of North Alabama.
2006-2007:
University of North Alabama: McKissack appeared in all 27 games for the Lions last season as a redshirt-freshman. Although averaging only four points and nine minutes per game on the season, he was UNA's leading scorer twice, scoring 18 points in an 87-78 neutral court victory over Miles College and 17 points against the University of Arkansas-Monticello in the first round of the NCAA Division II National Tournament South Regional. He made 25 of his 40 baskets on the season from 3-point range.
High School: During his prep career at Lauderdale County High School, McKissack helped lead Coach Ted Talley's Tigers to three-straight Class 3A regional championship games. He was a tree-time all-area, all county and all-region selection and a two-time all-state selection. As a senior, he averaged 28 points, seven assists, seven rebounds, three steals and three blocks per game. He was also honored as the Times Daily Player of the Year his junior and senior seasons and was the Alabama Class 3A Player of the Year runner-up as a senior.
