#20 Chris Lawson 6'2" Guard Senior Columbia, TN
Martin Methodist College: Chris Lawson returns for his second season in a RedHawks uniform after playing the first two years of his collegiate career for Region XI for Lindsey Wilson College. Last season as a junior, Lawson collected 94 points on the season and 40 rebounds in 31 games. He also had 23 assists and seven steals. His season scoring high came in the opening game of the season when he scored 16 points against Concordia College of Selma, Ala., including a 5-for-8 apperance from beyond the 3-point arc. He went on to swipe 11 points twice against William Carey College and Lyon College.
Lindsey Wilson College: Lawson spent two seasons with the Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders, as he helped lead his teams to back-to-back apperances in the NAIA National Tournament in 2003 and 2004, including a trip to the Elite Eight in 2004. He was also a member of the 2004 Mid-South Conference Tournament Champions team.
Central Hayneville High School: Lawson prepped at Hampshire under the coaching direction of his father Jackie Lawson. While there, he averaged 25 points per game his senior season and helped lead his team to an 18-6 record and second place finish in the district. He was named District Player of the Year, a selection to the All-Midstate Team and All-State Second-Team. He was also invited to play in the Tennessee-Georgia All-Star Game.
Personal: Born December 18....He is the son of Jackie and Ellen Lawson...Majoring in Biology...Hobies include golf and playing ultimate Frisbee.
