Martin Methodist College: Brian Rucker returns to the RedHawks for his second and final season after coming to MMC for his junior season in 2004-05. During his junior season, Rucker averaged 5.0 points per game and 3.5 rebounds, as he collected 22 assists and 17 steals on the year through 30 games and 19 starts. He was only one of three players to shoot above 50 percent from the floor for the season as he shot 51.5 percent (50-97). He produced six double-figure outings in the points category with his season high 19 points and nine rebounds coming against Concordia College of Selma, Ala., as he went 7-of-8 from the field in shooting for 87.5 percent.

Itawamba Community College: Before MMC, Rucker spent two seasons at Itawamba for Coach Marty Cooper, where he averaged 8.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game during the 2003-04 season. He also helped lead his team to the Mississippi State Junior College Tournament and the Region XIII Tournament. He was also selected to the Mississippi Junior College All-Star Team.
