Martin Methodist College: Rudy Lyles returns for his second season of competition with the RedHawks baseball program after serving as a redshirt in 2006.
2007:
Marshall County High School: Lyles started two years in center field as a junior and senior at Marshall County for coach Joe George and assistant coaches Mike and Steve Reese. He hit .345, with four homeruns and 20 stolen bases. He received All-District honors his last two years of high school in baseball. Lyles also played basketball and football. He received All- District honors as a junior in basketball, and led the team in scoring with an average of 15 point a game in the district tournament. He was also named running back of the year his senior year and had 1300 all purpose yards.
Personal: Full name is Derian Reshard (Rudy) Lyles...Born September 27, 1986 in Columbia, Tenn.... Son of Donna Lyles and Terry Haislip, and comes from an athletic family as his cousin, Marcus Haislip plays in the NBA, cousin Rodney Davis played football at Alabama A&M, and cousin Ty Curley played baseball for Middle Tennessee State University... Major is currently undecided... His hobbies include playing Playstation, hanging out with family and friends, lifting weights, running, watching sports on TV.
