Martin Methodist College: Derek returns for his final season with the RedHawks. During his career at MMC, he has started several games and been used for his defensive ability in a reserve role. He was a 2005 recipient of the Scholar Athlete Award.

Antioch High School: During high school, he made All-District in both 2001 and 2002 as a player for Antioch under the direction of coaches Ronnie Wilson and Keith Dickey. 

Personal: Born May 18, 1984 in Nashville, Tenn... He is the son of Tony and Sissy Glover... Majoring in physical education... His hobbies include hunting, fishing, and golf.

 

Coach Ogilvie's Comments: "Derek will see playing time in 2006, either as a starter or in a defensive role late in the game. He's one of the best defensive players in the outfield for MMC. He's also an excellent baserunner, and could serve in that role as a runner for the catcher. He's improved greatly this fall with his hitting, and has put himself in position to see more starts this spring. An excellent student and hard worker on and off the field."
