Martin Methodist College: Charlie Springer joins the RedHawks this season and will serve as a redshirt this spring. 

Lawrence County High School: Springer was a four-year player at Lawrence County for coach Mike James. He saw time as a pitcher his freshman year, but was forced to miss his sophomore and junior seasons due to rehabilitation from Tommy John Surgery. He came back and played first base as a senior, while working to gain strength back for pitching. During his freshman season, he was named Who's Who in Babe Ruth, and was nominated to play in teh Southeastern Elite Tournament in Memphis, Tenn his sophomore season.

Personal: Born October 15, 1986 in Grand Forks, North Dekota... He is the son of Douglas and Judy Springer. He also has two brothers and two sisters... Majoring in biology... His hobies inclide fishing, playing pool, bowling, and spending time with family and friends.
