Basketball: Teams Pick Up Non-Conference Wins
(2/4) – Both of the Martin Methodist College Basketball teams played mid-week non-conference games last night. The Women’s team hosted Tennessee Temple, while the Men’s team travelled to Atlanta to take on Carver Bible College. The women won 73-45 and the men won 102-79. Both teams will be back in TranSouth action Saturday travelling to Union University for 2:00 and 4:00 games before playing Trevecca Nazarene University on Monday. The Trevecca game is a make-up from the snow out last weekend. The tip times there are 6:00 and 8:00.

Softball: MMC Ranked NAIA No. 8
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (2/3) – The 2010 Martin Methodist College Softball team was ranked No. 8 in the NAIA’s 2010 Preseason Softball Poll that was released earlier this week. Martin Methodist has been in the NAIA Top 10 for the last five polls and in the NAIA Top 15 in the last eight polls. (more)

Baseball: RedHawks Open 2010 Season
(2/3) – The Martin Methodist College Baseball team opened up the 2010 season last weekend with a pair of double-headers in Montgomery, Alabama. The RedHawks faced two Southern States Athletic Conference opponents in Auburn-Montgomery and Faulkner University. (more)

Softball: RedHawks Tabbed as TranSouth Preseason No. 1
PULASKI, Tenn. (1/27) - The Martin Methodist College Softball team was picked No. 1 in the 2010 Preseason Coaches Poll. The RedHawk softball program is coming off of a great 2009 campaign, concluding the season at the NAIA Softball National Tournament as one of the Elite Eight teams in the nation and with a top 10 ranking. (more)

Women’s Basketball: Robison Selected Player of the Week
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Whitney Robison of Martin Methodist (Tenn.) College has been named the TranSouth Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, January 24, 2010. (more)

Men’s Basketball: RedHawks Fly Past Bulldogs
LEBANON, Tenn. (1/24) – In an up and down week the Martin Methodist College Men’s Basketball team finished the three game week on a high note beating Cumberland University on the road 84-71 for a 2-1 week. (more)

Women’s Basketball: MMC Picks up Road TSAC Win
LEBANON, Tenn. (1/24) – The RedHawks travelled to Cumberland University yesterday to take on the Bulldogs in their third TranSouth game this week. MMC handed Cumberland a 53-43 loss on the Bulldogs home court. (more)

Blue and Gold Classic- Poirier Bowls 300

South Bend, Indiana (1/23-1/24) - The Martin Methodist bowling teams made the 10 hour trip to South Bend, Indiana this last weekend to bowl in the “Blue and Gold Classic”.  The girls struggled but their focus continues to be on making sectionals. (more)

Women’s Basketball: RedHawks Upset No. 6 Lions
PULASKI, Tenn. (1/21) – Martin Methodist College upset NAIA No. 6 Freed-Hardeman tonight 65-60 on the RedHawks home floor tonight. This is the first time the RedHawks have beaten the Lions in three years. (more)

Men’s Basketball: RedHawks Crush Toppers
PULASKI, Tenn. (1/19) – After three straight TranSouth losses the RedHawks got back in the saddle and handed Blue Mountain College a 130-62 loss in the CLC last night. (more)

Women’s Basketball: RedHawks Win 2 on The Road
(1/17) – The Martin Methodist College Women’s Basketball team went on the road this past week to take on Mid-Continent University and Lyon College. The RedHawks were victorious in both games taking the game from Mid-Continent 77-63 Thursday before beating Lyon College on Saturday 67-64 in overtime. (more)

Men’s Basketball: Bulldogs Take 1st TSAC Game from RedHawks
PULASKI, Tenn. (1/10) – The RedHawks were back to action yesterday after over three weeks without a game. Martin Methodist had a restful break to let some injuries heal and also had a new face on the court as they hosted Union University in their first TranSouth Athletic Conference game of the 2009-2010 season. Women’s Basketball: RedHawks Drop 1st TSAC Game
PULASKI, Tenn. (1/10) – The Martin Methodist College Women’s Basketball team opened up the 2009-2010 TranSouth Athletic Conference schedule yesterday against the tough NAIA No. 1 Union University. (more)

Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup -- No. 19
CLEVELAND, Ohio (1/4) – Martin Methodist College Athletics broke into the top 20 of the Final Fall NAIA Sports Directors’ Cup Standings with 140 points. Simon Fraser stands atop the list with 260 points. The RedHawks were ranked in the top 20 as both the Men’s and Women’s Soccer teams placed 5th in their respective NAIA Soccer National Championships in December. (more)
